From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Are you a qualified nurse looking for a new challenge? We currently have vacancies on Ward AM3, within our Acute Medicine Division based in Manchester.

AM3 is an acute medical ward caring for female gastroenterology patients with complex conditions. The department is a centre of excellence for Hepatobilliary and Gastroenterology and has close links to Endoscopy. You will see conditions in this department that you won't see anywhere else. Learning about nutrition and how to feed patients other than orally for example, TPN, naso gastric, PEG, RIG. You will also gain experience and learn how to use the various means of venous access eg IV, PICC, Hickman and portacath.

To be successful in this role you must demonstrate caring and compassionate values, behaviours and beliefs, be hard working and have an interest in the Speciality as well as a passion to want to develop your skills and knowledge. Adaptable and conscientious, you’ll be committed to delivering high standards of care and to helping the unit improve and progress. We believe in providing high standards of patient care in everything we do, so we’re looking for the best nurses to join us.

We offer a robust Preceptorship course to newly qualified nurses plus the opportunity to attend internal and external courses to improve and develop your skill set. The Trust is committed to staff education and development and so you can expect plenty of support to help you progress, including a PDP, ongoing training and annual appraisals. Our management structure is keen to develop and nurture staff to make the best of them and give job satisfaction.
