Applications are invited for the above post to start on 02 August 2017 for 12 months. You will be working as a Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Manchester Royal Infirmary is a major teaching hospital situated next to the campus of the Manchester Medical School and Manchester University. The two departments receive approximately 150,000 patients per annum. You will receive teaching each week on all aspects of Emergency Medicine through the Electronic Learning Environment. You will be encouraged to undertake audit and teach medical students. You will also spend some weeks doing Emergency Paediatrics at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Although previous A&E experience is not essential, you must have 6 months UK hospital experience in an acute specialty.

As a department we believe it is important for emergency physicians to secure a healthy work-life balance and to this extent we will consider shift pattern variations to try to meet the needs of the individual and will always endeavour to adapt your specific needs in to the current rota system, wherever possible.

Salary will be on the ST (fixed) pay scale which ranges from £30,605 - £40,491 per annum (pro-rata for part time applicants)

Please note that this post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean, but training will be provided in the same way as for other trainees at the same level.
