From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. 

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.  That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth career opportunities for great people right across our Group. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join and contribute to a forward thinking, well functioning multidisciplinary CAMHS team in central Manchester. We deliver a range of evidence based interventions across a spectrum of need; from a community base in the heart of Manchester.

This post will be to provide Clinical Psychology assessment and interventions as part of the Central Manchester CAMHS team.

You will have a diploma, masters, doctoral degree or equivalent accepted by the British Psychological Society qualifying you to work as a Clinical Psychologist and your eligibility for HPC Registration is considered essential.

You must be flexible, motivated and proactive with the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally with diverse groups of staff and external organisations. A strong ability to plan and priorities is essential in this diverse and challenging role.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
