From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring individual to take on the role of Clinical Effectiveness Officer within the Division of Specialist Medicine.

In the role of Clinical Effectiveness Officer you will support the development of the clinical effectiveness within the Division of Specialist Medical Services and focus on patient experience work-streams. You will be responsible in supporting the Clinical Effectiveness Team in the co-ordination of complaint responses and championing the Equality and Diversity programme. You will work with the clinical effectiveness leads within the Division, co-ordinating and delivering the quality, clinical effectiveness and clinical audit agendas. You will liaise with professionals of all disciplines and grades and you will work in partnership to deliver the key divisional objectives for clinical effectiveness.

In order for you to excel in this position you will need to be confident with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in clinical effectiveness in a current or previous role is essential as is the ability to prioritise competing demands and a high workload. A proven track record in supporting improvements would be advantageous as would a passion to improve patient care. You will be educated to a good general standard and experience of working in a hospital environment is vital. You will have excellent IT skills and a flexible approach to work.You will need good attention to detail and evidence of working in a team.
