We are seeking a Clinical Scientist who is state registered in either Genetics or Genomics Bioinformatics to join our team in Manchester working to deliver a modern high quality diagnostic service and cutting edge translational development.

The Genomic Diagnostics Laboratory is a large accredited service providing an integrated diagnostic service to the local population of approximately 5 million people in the North West as well as national and international referrals. The laboratory is an integral part of The Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine (MCGM) which unifies NHS services and The University of Manchester research and teaching, creating one of the leading centres for clinical genomics in Europe. We also, with MAHSE, provide the Genomics and the Genomic Counselling Scientific Training Programme (STP).

Our ethos is one of team work and together we deliver and report a modern range of diagnostic tests to our patients, have significant scientific and innovative role and opportunities to develop and implement new technologies, tests and ways of working. A flexible attitude is essential as is the ability to work to deadlines . You will have an excellent track record in service delivery and a clear vision of what it takes to maintain and enhance the genomics laboratory service, including all aspects of quality and governance, efficiency and clinical utility. You will have experience of service development and training.
