A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic & highly motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) with a clinical Masters degree and a non medical prescriber qualification to work within the Gynaecology Oncology team at Saint Mary’s Hospital (SMH).
SMH currently provides a centre of excellence tertiary referral centre for women with a suspected or confirmed gynaecological cancer.
We are seeking an ANP who can demonstrate advanced clinical expertise and clinical decision making to support both the nursing and medical team caring for this client group – working closely with the pre operative team by providing expert knowledge and clinical skills in often highly co-morbid patients who require anaesthetic work up. You will undertake daily ward rounds with the oncology team providing expertise and will be able to demonstrate proactive management of patients in the post op period. The ANP will also provide knowledge and expertise supporting the medical team and gynae Macmillan team caring for the palliative patients.
You must be a team player and willing to work collaboratively with all MDT members to provide a high standard of care for our patients. You will be supported by a team of Gynae Oncology consultants, an ANP and the Gynae Macmillan team.
This post will be an exciting and challenging role for an individual with a genuine desire to influence and lead clinical practice.The post holder will need to be dynamic, innovative and keen to embrace new ways of working. Excellent communication and interpersonal and report writing skills are essential.
