CMFT is committed to improving the accessibility of its services for our patients and the communities we serve. The Inclusion & Community have been successful in securing funding from our Charity Team to fast track the work across the Trust. This has created an exciting opportunity to join the Inclusion and Community team on a 12 month secondment to work on this key agenda and fast track our accessibility programme.

If you are passionate about accessibility, inclusion and want to make a real difference to our patients then we would be interested in hearing from you. The successful candidate will lead the work on accessibility, empowering our teams across the trust to embed accessibility into everything they do and creating a long term sustainable improvement.

You will be required to lead and deliver all the projects agreed as part of the charity bid. This means we need someone who has project management experience, is an exceptional communicator, and has a background of service delivery and a passionate interest in accessibility, with a strong focus on disability. Whilst working in a team you will need to be able to work independently and be able to find creative solutions to problems.

An interest in the wider inclusion and equality agenda is desirable but you will need to have a passionate interest in improving services for people with disabilities, people with low levels of literacy and for people who have different communications needs.

An understanding of the NHS Accessibility Standard and the Social model of Disability would be an advantage.

You will be joining a small team which means you will need to be flexible and willing to help out on wider team activity. This will provide opportunities to get involved with work across the trust and out in the communities we serve.

This is a 12 month secondment and is a great way to develop your skills. You will have the opportunity to work with teams across the Trust and see the impact of your work on the people we serve.

A key part of this role will be to develop training across the Trust this is a great opportunity to develop your own knowledge and put into practise project management skills. To deliver organisational change in our approach to accessibility, leading and developing key projects within an overarching programme that engages stakeholders in the changes, building future sustainability to this area of work. To project manage and deliver the ‘Fast Tracking Accessibility Programme.’ The Trust has secured £200K to fast track accessibility programmes for CMFT patients in 2017. This post is to both project manage and deliver the project. The post holder will be directly responsible for all aspects of programme management, working partnership with internal and external teams, ensuring the project is delivered within its budget; procurement of services and communicating the work to all stakeholders.

Closing date for the post is - 1 pm Friday 2nd June
