Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was awarded Enterprise Zone status, part of The Corridor Manchester Enterprise Zone (EZ) as a flagship initiative, providing businesses with a unique set of incentives to support their growth and success. It presents a great opportunity to genuinely enhance the profile and drive the economic growth of the Corridor Manchester Innovation District, with a focus on health and life sciences.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Corridor EZ Growth Manager who will provide the leadership and expertise to accelerate the growth of the Corridor EZ's working from a base in Citylabs on the hospital campus. Key responsibilities will include pro-actively driving business growth, inward investment and stimulating innovation and entrepreneurship activity to promote business growth. Experience in managing active events and networking programmes is an advantage, particularly in Life Sciences. The EZ growth manager will manage the implementation and administration of the EZ as well as work on maximising the opportunity for marketing and promotion of the Corridor EZ.

The successful applicant will be from a science/business park, inward investment or business development background , ideally in health or life sciences and be qualified to master’s level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. He/she will be commercially driven and able to develop and manage partnerships with external organisations and companies, including the Corridor Partners. As the economic growth engine for the city, Corridor Manchester is a key focus for the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership’s ambitions to deliver new net additional jobs and private sector investment, with the Corridor’s ability to generate high value jobs and private sector led economic activity.

The post will be based in Citylabs 1.0; a bio-health innovation centre on the clinical academic campus, at the heart of a large and growing cluster of medical technology and ICT companies.
