The Deputy Director of Nursing (Quality) and the Senior Estates and Facilities Management Team continue to work closely with our PFI partners Sodexo to continuously improve the patient experience and are delighted to be able to offer a Matron Secondment opportunity.

The Matron Secondment opportunity is for existing matrons or senior nurses to join and support the teams on 18 month – 2 year Matron Secondment, with the role aimed at providing tangible improvements in patient experience along with development opportunities for the selected Matrons.

The role will act as a clinical link between the hospital teams and services and Sodexo; working closely with the Sodexo teams to identify and deliver improvements to the Patient Dining Experience and the Patient Environment.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Nursing (Quality) you will work closely with the management and operational senior nurse, including infection control and Patient Experience and Estates and Facilities teams and in partnership with Sodexo to improve the patient experience. You will also attend lead nurse and ward manager meetings in order to act as a liaison between the services providing information and advice and maintaining your professional contacts.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed and passionate about the patient dining experience and the environment of care and developing in partnership the services we provide to enhance the patient experience.
