Central Manchester University Hospitals offer a unique range of services to the North West, treating and managing the simplest to the most complex conditions and diseases. For our nurses, it means the chance to gain diverse experience in a variety of teams.
We are looking to recruit 2 experienced nurses to join us on Ward AM2. We are a 28 bedded acute respiratory ward that predominantly cares for patients with an exacerbation of their chronic respiratory conditions. Many of the patients require non-invasive ventilation, care of their tracheostomy / laryngectomy and care of chest drains for pleural effusions / pneumothoraces. We also care for patients of varying ages with lung cancer and end of life care.
To succeed in the role you will be an effective leader and work within the team as a positive and influential role model. With relevant post-qualifying clinical experience you will have good analytical and clinical decision making skills in addition to experience working in a multi-disciplinary team. Working with colleagues at all levels you will have exemplary personal standards of conduct and behaviour and will bring enthusiasm and inspiration to the role.
The Division of Medicine and Community have a vision to deliver integrated care across health and social care boundaries within Manchester. To achieve this vision we intend to educate and develop a flexible, multi-skilled nursing workforce able to challenge and change practice, reduce service barriers and provide care where it is needed within an established team. You will receive a comprehensive induction, regular 1:1's and annual appraisals to develop knowledge and skills where appropriate.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
