We are seeking 2 registered children's nurses or registered children nurses to join the acute children's community nursing team initially on a 9 month secondment covering specialist community degree programme running from September 2017 to June 2018.

Central Manchester Foundation Trust (CMFT) is the leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England. We provide an extensive range of district general hospital services to the local population of central Manchester and tertiary and specialist services to patients from across the North West and beyond.

We’re looking for two motivated and enthusiastic individuals with strong communication and organisational skills who are able to work autonomously and to effectively prioritise their workload. Due to the nature of the role it is essential that you are able to travel independently and therefore must have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. The acute children's community nursing team is staffed by children's nurses, assistant practitioners and support staff who support children aged 0-19yrs across the whole of Manchester with a nursing need, seven days a week 08:00-22:00.

This role will require you to provide evidence based care to children/young people and their families within our caseload this will involve taking assessments, providing care and the evaluation of the care provided, whilst liaising with the wider mutli-disciplinary team. You will be expected to work autonomously and as part of a team. The provision of training to student nurses and other health care professionals will also be a part of this role. The trust on their part will support you with your professional development and a personal development plan will be devised to help your career thrive and it is expected that successful candidates would be likely to be offered a permanent post within the service area at the end of the secondment period.
