The Podiatry Team in Community Services at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust aims to help patients achieve their optimum mobility and independence and improve their quality of life. Patients whose feet are at risk of ulceration and amputation are seenby treating feet at risk of ulceration and amputation painful conditions that affect the feet and lower limb and feet at-risk of ulceration and amputation.

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Podiatrists to join our team in a variety of clinic and domiciliary settings across the Trust, as the service requires. An experience of MSK Podiatry/high risk and diabetic foot management is essential. A broad experience of team working in the NHS is beneficial and a proven track record of progressing through band 5 to band 6 preceptorship is essential.

Interviews anticipated 6th and 13th September. dependant on closing date and number of applicants. Reserve dates will be considered.

You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, planning and implementation of podiatry care to patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including diabetes, vascular and musculoskeletal pathology. You will be responsible for new patient assessments and will perform diabetic assessments, undertake nail surgery on rotation and wound management including offloading techniques. You will be allocated responsibilty for a clinic and will lead on health and safety, stock & pharmacy checks and ordering for a clinic. You will be supported by a band 7 hub lead.

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as initiative and team spirit, you will have a strong commitment to patient care, assisting them in achieving their maximum potential. Travelling around the central Manchester locality you will require access to a vehicle for work purposes.
