An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Respiratory Medicine Team for a dynamic Specialist Nurse within the Lung Cancer service to work alongside our existing Lung Cancer Nurse Specialist Team within inpatient areas and clinics (nurse led) at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The role will also require community home visits and the support of Lung Cancer Services at Trafford offering diversity within this field.

As a Nurse Specialist with experience in Respiratory Medicine, you will provide expert professional assessment, advice and psychological support in the management of care for patients with lung cancer aided by the support of the specialist nurses/Multidisciplinary Team.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with patients, relatives and other health care professionals to deliver a high quality specialist service .You must possess excellent interpersonal- skills, demonstrate experience in patient assessment and education, possessing drive and initiative to motivate others in providing an optimum service to this group of patients.Your expertise will be demonstrated in the delivery of education to staff around the Trust within this field. You will be expected to work autonomously with support and will be able to manage your own work load and participate in audit and service development.

Future developments of this role may include working over a 7 day rota and covering community home visits and serving in patients within Trafford General Hospital.
