Staff Nurse – Specialist Medicine Division
Haematology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology and Renal Nurses
Band 5

Whether you’re a Band 5 Student Nurse or already qualified and looking to return to the profession, Central Manchester Foundation Trust has just the job. That’s because, right now, we’re looking to recruit a number of nurses for our Adult Specialist Medicine Division.

Join us and you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of exciting specialities or you could choose to embark on a fascinating 12 month rotational programme consisting of three, four month placements in Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Cardiac Surgery or Renal. Along the way, you’ll be supported by in-house Educational Practitioners and strong nurse leaders who will give you everything you need to nurse with pride, respect, empathy, consideration, compassion and dignity.

It really is a great chance to join a go-ahead Trust that has an integrated health, teaching, research and innovation campus with state-of-the-art facilities right in the heart of Manchester. As well as offering a diverse range of services to over a million patients a year, our specialist hospitals have a real community feel and are home to hundreds of world-class clinicians and academic staff.

The Manchester Heart Centre – Cardiology and Cardiac surgery wards, a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and an Acute Cardiac Centre (coronary care unit/cardiac interventional unit/cardiac catheter laboratory).

The Renal Centre – two acute in-patient wards for patients with renal diseases, acute dialysis unit, a CAPD Unit and several renal dialysis units across Greater Manchester.

Gastroenterology Unit - encompassing two acute wards and an endoscopy unit.

Haematology Unit – this unit includes a Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and Haematology ward, a Haematology Day Case Unit providing chemotherapy and haematology related interventions.

As a newly qualified registered nurse you will access our respected preceptorship course plus all new recruits are supported by an in-depth induction programme. In addition you will have an opportunity to access a range of internal and external courses and, above all, valuable new skills and the confidence to work anywhere within Adult Services in the future.
