Are you a registered nurse with experience of working within an acute setting? Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation trust are looking for a Staff Nurse to work in our Outpatient Department in the Manchester heart Centre. If you are motivated and driven and want to be part of a team who are dedicated to improving the quality of care given to patients then take some time to read through what we have to offer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established team and be a part of moving the services we offer forward. You will work as part of the out patient team supporting and coordinating the provision of out patient services which specialises in cardiac imaging, echocardiography services, specialist ACHD services, pacing and electrophysiology, heart function and genetic services to name but a few. Our aim is to enhance the patient journey and make it as smooth as possible to include the best possible care. The department is busier than ever and we are continually changing to meet the needs of the service. We are a small, close and friendly team who support each other whilst providing high level care to our client group. The role will include working Monday to friday 7.5 hours per day and you will be required to cover some aspects of the Imaging specialist nurse role in her absence which will include DSE/stress Echo testing and TOE lists for both elective and non elective patients.

We need people who are compassionate about the profession, cardiology and patient care. Enthusiastic and professional with a good work ethic, an ideal candidate will be a quick learner and to be able to adapt into a team and be flexible. Committed to delivering high standards of patient care. An ability to be able to think quickly on your feet is needed.

You will have a mentor in the department who will work with you and we will develop a bespoke training package to suit your career requirements. You will receive training in essential skills including venepuncture and IV therapy as well as more specialty specific training to meet the needs of the service.
