An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Junior Sister/ Charge Nurse to join us on the Ambulatory Care Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative nurse to maintain our high standards and to assist in further development in our existing excellent services.

ACU consists of a 13 bedded area as well as The Ambulatory Care Unit which at present has 5 trolleys and16 chairs but we are hoping to extend this. We also run a Head Injury Clinics and Surgical Hot Clinics on the ward.

You will be an experienced staff nurse looking for a new challenge in order to progress your career in nursing. You will provide excellent leadership to the ward team as well as working collaboratively with the members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a quality service for our patients. You will be confident in working on your own initiative and able to prioritise your case load on the ward.

In return, we will offer you the assistance to continue your development in a friendly environment. You will be fully inducted into the role and be given full training in order to become a competent Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to support management on the ward. We hold annual appraisals and regular 1:1 meetings to guide you in the new role and discuss what can be done to support you in your role.
