Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) will join together to create a new Foundation Trust in October 2017 which will be named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust; subject to required approvals.   Following this, the plan is for North Manchester General Hospital (which is currently part of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust) to join the new organisation around 12-18 months later.

As a result of this plan, it’s such an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth of opportunity. Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.

Are you looking for an opportunity to work within an innovative multi-professional team, liaising with all levels of staff and professions, both within the Trust and at partner Universities? Then consider a move to the Professional Development & Education Team. As well as delivering a high quality administration service to colleagues, you will support a wide range of education activities and initiatives and ensure work streams operate at maximum capacity.

A born organiser and confident communicator, you’ll need excellent administration, typing and IT skills, together with the ability to manage your own workload effectively. Proficiency using Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and email, including Outlook and Diary management, is also essential. You will be educated to GCSE and NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent, with an RSA stage III typing qualification or similar and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft packages.

In return, we’ll give you full support for your ongoing professional development. This is a rare chance to experience a busy, multi-stranded working environment and develop your skills and knowledge in this area, so don’t miss out – apply today!
