Whether you’re a student nurse or already qualified and looking to return to the profession, Manchester Foundation Trust has just the job. That’s because, right now, we’re looking to recruit a number of nurses for Ward 4 our acute medical ward.

Join us on our 31 bedded medical ward where you’ll have the opportunity to care for patients recovering from a number of acute medical conditions. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills on a busy acute ward and develop within your staff nurse post.

The ward are proud to have been recently awarded the Elderly Quality Mark from the Royal College of Psychiatry, the third ward in the Trust to achieve this.

You will have the benefit of working in a multi-professional team including a Therapeutic activity coordinator, so there are endless opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in this field.

To succeed, you will need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development.

Along the way, you’ll be supported by in-house Educational Practitioners and strong nurse leaders who will equip you with the support and guidance you need.

In return for your skills, enthusiasm and commitment, you can expect some truly excellent development and progression opportunities and a comprehensive induction programme. You’ll also be part of a fantastic and dedicated team that supports each other and operates with consideration and dignity at all times.

It really is a great chance to join a go-ahead Trust that has an integrated health, teaching, research and innovation campus with state-of-the-art facilities right in the heart of Manchester. As well as offering a diverse range of services to over a million patients a year, our specialist hospitals have a real community feel and are home to hundreds of world-class clinicians and academic staff.
