The Cardiothoracic Critical Care currently has a vacancy for a band 2 Ward Clerk, to join our busy Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit.

The successful applicant should have excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner and the ability to deal with difficult situations. Previous clerical and filing experience would be advantageous as would keyboard skills.

The post is for 15hours/week to be worked over 2 days, including weekend rotation.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
