Personal Assistant to the Deputy Divisional Director and Lead Nurses

Full Time, Band 4

An exciting and challenging role has become available within the Division for the post of Personal assistant to the Deputy Divisional Director & Lead Nurses for Surgery at Manchester Royal Infirmary. You will:

  • Provide a professional and confidential PA/Administrative service to the Deputy Divisional Director & three Lead Nurses.
  • Provide full administrative support to the Deputy Divisional Director and Lead Nurses.

You must have a sufficient level of experience of working in a PA/secretarial role in a complex organisation where sensitivity and confidentiality were a high priority. You must have the ability to work with people at all levels and be able to use your own initiative to review and improve the efficiency of the administrative services in line with the Division’s Quality Strategy.

You must be highly organised, be able to keep up with the demands of a fast-paced environment and deal with a hectic and unpredictable schedule. You should have excellent computer skills and be able to communicate and solve problems online efficiently.

The job has a wide range of requirements and can often be extremely demanding. To do the job well, you must apply excellent organisational skills, tact, diplomacy, effective communication skills, as well as maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters and display excellent judgement. You must have the ability to anticipate, meet the needs of and complete deadlines set by the Divisional Admin Manager, Deputy Divisional Director & Lead Nurses.

This is a busy and challenging role that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to support the Division to deliver its objectives and deliver first class service to patients.
