Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff.

We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology, Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and professional individual to join the Critical Care Department as Administration Manager and PA to the Consultant Team.

As a key member of the team you will be expected to deliver a high quality, comprehensive secretarial and administrative service; to include diary management, arranging meetings, minute taking, and collation and preparation of reports and documentation, as well as day to day management of the Administrative Team.

You will enjoy working with a friendly, dedicated team who share your passion for delivering an extremely high standard of work with the focus on improving the standard of care we provide.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic and competent PA with excellent all round secretarial skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Ideally with previous Healthcare experience, you will be comfortable working within a high-pressure environment and prioritising your work to meet deadlines.

This is a demanding role which will require an adaptable and flexible individual with a proven ability to prioritise their own workload and demands from senior colleagues. You should have an eye for detail and use the utmost discretion when dealing with any confidential matters.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
