We are seeking anaesthetic trained nurses or operating department practitioners to work in our dedicated ophthalmic theatres, and as one of the largest Eye hospitals in Europe we have a very busy, but hugely varied suite of five operating theatres dedicated to eye surgery.

As a Centre for Excellence in Eye Surgery we need anaesthetic staff who have proven skills and are able to care for patients using our Trust core values of Compassion, Dignity, Respect, Consideration, Empathy and Pride. We are also unique as we care for patients of all ages, from the newborn to the elderly and all ages in between. You will need to be adaptable and responsive to apply your skills and care to all your patients.

The Eye Hospital is part of the Manchester Foundation Trust so has access to all the facilities and support this can offer. We have excellent working relationships with our colleagues across all areas of the Eye Hospital, as well as other theatres across the Trust.

We show care for our staff through excellent development and progression opportunities. These start with a comprehensive induction programme, but don’t end there. Experienced nurses and ODP's will be encouraged to expand their knowledge, skills and competencies through a wide range of internal and external courses. This will be underpinned by annual appraisal.

So if you want a new start, there couldn’t be a better time to join us.
