We are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.

The first health and social care staff have been deployed to us from April 2018 and are now starting to work in new ways across the city. Our teams work as one in the neighbourhoods they serve – delivering and designing services in partnership with local people. We also provide key services that work across wider localities and city-wide. We believe that our pioneering approach will make a massive difference to the health of people in our city and we are looking for you to join our team and help us do this.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated audiologists to complement our friendly, hardworking team, providing the full range of community paediatric audiology services across Manchester. You must have a BSc in Audiology, or equivalent qualifications. Post-qualification experience in a paediatric setting is essential to be considered for the post. Band 5 audiologists meeting this profile, wishing to take the next step in their career or experienced paediatric audiologists wishing to return to work after a career break would be particularly suited.
We offer a comprehensive range of rehabilitation and diagnostic services for children including Auditory Processing Disorder, single-sided deafness, Tinnitus/Hyperacusis and Vestibular services.
The role will provide plenty of opportunities for the development of skills and knowledge. You must be registered or in the process of gaining professional registration.
The community paediatric audiology service is based in central Manchester, but we have clinic sites across the city. Car ownership and a valid driver’s licence are essential.
This post is a full time post of 37.5 hours a week. We would welcome applicants interested in job-sharing.
