Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff.

We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

It’s an exciting time for cardiology services in Manchester as the Heart Centres of Manchester Royal Infirmary and Wythenshawe Hospital are joining together. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced catheter lab radiographer to help with the development of the new service across Manchester.

The Manchester Heart Centre takes cardiac patients from the whole of Manchester which makes for an interesting and varied workload.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is the leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England.

We have five catheter labs and a state of the art hybrid theatre for complex cardiac work and other combined procedures. Here in the Manchester Heart Centre, we have a close-knit team of physiologists, cardiologists, nurses and radiographers and there is currently room to extend the team.

Out of hours is currently covered by a busy non-residential on-call service, but local accommodation can be provided when required.

You will will have a proven record of working within a cardiology environment.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
