Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 20,000 staff.

We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.

We are the main provider of hospital care to approximately 750,000 people in Manchester and Trafford and the single biggest provider of specialised services in the North West of England. We are also the lead provider for a significant number of specialised services including Breast Care, Vascular, Cardiac, Respiratory, Urology, Cancer, Paediatrics, Women’s Services, Ophthalmology and Genomic Medicine.

Our vision is to improve the health and quality of life of our diverse population by building an organisation that:

  • Excels in quality, safety, patient experience, research, innovation and teaching
  • Attracts, develops and retains great people
  • Is recognised internationally as a leading healthcare provider

Whether you’re a Band 5 Student Nurse or already qualified and looking to return to the profession, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has just the job. That’s because, right now, we’re looking to recruit a number of nurses across our Bone Marrow Transplant and Haematology Unit.

Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work in our regional Centre for Haematology and Stem Cell Transplant, where an exciting expansion will be taking place to transform the unit from 18 to 34 beds. The ward has some great accolades too to include JACIE and gold accreditation, Clinical Team of the Year runner up and Proud of You Awards 2016.

For our patients, we really do go that extra mile to nurse with care with the provision of additional services to enhance hospital stay experience including free Wi-Fi, complimentary TV, access to social work, a psychotherapist and a qualified beautician along with those added extras such as dedicated snack rounds.

To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development.

Along the way, you’ll be supported by in-house Clinical Educators who’ll oversee your training needs, supported by the wider divisional education team. What’s more, you’ll have access to a Ward Mentor who’ll work directly with you to develop bespoke training to suit your career aspirations. If developing is on your agenda, then this is the role for you with in house and external chemotherapy courses after 12 months in role along with the opportunity for promotion with additional Sister roles to enable us to provide a richer skill set across the unit.

In return for your skills, enthusiasm and commitment, you can expect a truly excellent comprehensive induction programme whilst being part of a fantastic and dedicated team that supports each other and operates with consideration and dignity at all times.

So, if you’re ready to make your next move your most exciting one yet, get in touch today, because we believe that you really can shine brighter at MFT.
