Are you looking for a change of scenery?  We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers to join our dynamic, friendly team and play a key role in maintaining and improving standards and quality of our patient services. Manchester University Hospital Foundation (MFT) is located in the heart of the vibrant city of Manchester, which was named the best UK city to live in The Economist’s ‘Global Liveability Index’ 2018

 The post is based on the Oxford Road site and includes training and rotation through general X-ray, theatre and mobile imaging, endoscopy, fluoroscopy and CT head scanning.  Candidates, who have been qualified for 18 months or longer, will also be eligible to apply for link grading to a band 6 post.

MFT is a busy teaching hospital as well as a Major Trauma centre with around 145,000 patients visiting our Emergency department each year.

The Radiology department is evolving all the time. Our main x-ray department is a large, 23 room facility, which offers you the chance to develop skills in all areas of general radiography, with excellent opportunities to progress into specialist areas. We currently have 2 CT Scanners, 1 MR Scanner with another scheduled to begin operating in early 2019, busy Ultrasound, interventional, Nuclear Medicine and cardiac suites as well as 2 state of the art hybrid theatres. 


You should; 

     • Have a BSc Radiography or DCR
     • Be HCPC Registered
     • Have Excellent communication skills
     • Be organised and able to prioritise workload
     • Be flexible

You will; 

  • Receive extensive support via a 12 month preceptorship programme if newly qualified
  • Receive a comprehensive induction and training in all areas
  • Receive regular appraisals 
  • Participate in a 24/7 shift system
  • be eligible to apply for link grading on achieving core competencies
  • Receive enhanced remuneration for night duties
