Something exciting is happening at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT). As the largest Trust in the UK (and one of Manchester’s main employers), we’re leading the way in unrivalled medical care and treatment. And we’re completely redefining our approach to Employee Health and Wellbeing by bringing together specialist skills and expertise to support our people. And that’s where you come in.

As our Head of Operational Services, you will ensure that our Employee Health and Wellbeing Service is an outstanding service for all MFT employees and private sector clients.

Your remit will include the leadership and operational management of the Trust’s Employee Health and Wellbeing Service. As such, you will have responsibility for our Clinical Services, Musculoskeletal, Fitness for Work , Service Support , and the Psychological Wellbeing Teams. And, you’ll ensure effective and efficient delivery of services whilst transitioning the teams to a new service delivery model for MFT. Working closely with the Assistant Director of Employee Health & Wellbeing, you will collaborate with a range of key stakeholders to support the development of a Trust health and Wellbeing Strategy that optimises both employee engagement and performance. At this time of large-scale transformation, you’ll also coach senior managers and teams to adapt to this significant change programme.

We’re looking for someone with current NMC registration as a First Level Registered Nurse along with Specialist OH Practitioner registration. You’ll also have as a Master’s degree or equivalent, mentoring experience, and teaching and management qualifications. What’s more, you’ll have the client management skills to handle complex, sensitive and challenging situations – both within the NHS, and externally, for our private sector clients.

Throughout your career at MFT, we’ll support your learning, development, and aspirations. Join us at the forefront of change, and you’ll enjoy plenty of opportunities, together with all the benefits you can expect as an NHS employee.

The UK’s largest Trust is making big changes. And we want you to come and help us lead the way.
