A very exciting opportunity has arisen in our Gastroenterology Ward. We are looking for a Staff Nurse to join our team who is passionate about safety and the delivery of exceptional quality care.

About us –
We look after our 28-bedded mixed sex ward which consists of 5 bays and 8 side rooms. A9 is a highly-accredited Ward. The past two years we have been awarded our Gold ward accreditation; this has now led to us becoming Diamond status.
Within this team, we operator as part of a much larger MDT team, working with Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Speech and Language Therapists, and Occupational Therapists to name a few.

Locally known as A9, consists of 9 Consultants, all specialising in different conditions and work on a rota covering the ward on a weekly basis called Hot Week. This optimizes patient’s care allowing them to be treated in a timely manner and promote patient flow. We feel that this enables staff to feel confident that the patients receive the best possible care.

Our team are friendly and hardworking, and we have a door is always open policy. We operate a 24-hour service, so the day is broken into two shift patterns, 7am-7.30pm and nights 7pm-7.30am. We would consider part time hours if you are flexible and night shift nurses are also welcome to apply with flexibility.
