It is an exciting time to join our team of Senior Radiographers. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Radiographer to join our dynamic and friendly team and play a key role in maintaining and improving standards and quality of our patient services.

The post is part time, split between two days in the general department at Manchester Royal Infirmary and one day at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester, with a requirement to work some weekend shifts in the general x-ray department.

We are located in the heart of the vibrant city of Manchester, with excellent transport links to surrounding areas and beyond. Both Sites are busy teaching hospitals and Manchester Royal Infirmary is a Major Trauma centre with around 145,000 patients visiting our Emergency department each year.

The Radiology department at Manchester Royal Infirmary is evolving all the time. Our main x-ray department is a large, 23 room facility, which offers you the chance to develop skills in all areas of general radiography, with excellent opportunities to progress into specialist areas. We currently have 2 CT Scanners, 1 MR Scanner with another scheduled to begin operating in early 2018, busy Ultrasound, interventional, Nuclear Medicine and cardiac suites as well as 2 state of the art hybrid theatres.

The Radiology department at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester has five x-ray rooms in the main department and a satellite unit within the first floor children’s department. It is equipped with five intra-oral imaging areas, three x-ray machines with OPT and Cephalogram capabilities and a Cone Beam CT scanner. All the digital imaging systems are linked to the Trust’s PACS system.

You should;

• Have a BSc Radiography or DCR
• Be HCPC Registered
• Be an experienced Radiographer
• Have Excellent communication skills
• Be organised and able to prioritise workload
• Be flexible
• Preferably have some experience of dental Radiography

You will;

• Receive a comprehensive induction and training in all areas
• Receive regular appraisals
• Participate in the weekend and bank holiday senior rota (Pro rata)
