Are you an experienced Adult nurse ready for a new challenge? We have an opportunity for a Junior Sister to join HNSU, a fast paced acute ward that cares for patients with complex malignant and non-malignant head, neck and facial conditions, which includes a high number of complex body image issues due to the nature of the surgery.  We are one of the major units in Manchester who offer complex ENT and Maxillo-Facial surgery.

The Trust is a centre of excellence for care and you will be expected to work with the rest of the nursing team and liaise very closely with other members of the MDT to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and experience. We have three Clinical Nurse Specialist’s that often take shifts on the ward providing teaching & support to all staff managing altered airway patients (tracheostomy and laryngectomy).  The job is challenging and interesting as the treatments are different for each patient and so their care and needs are different too. The trials and protocols are varied and there is lots to learn. We are a friendly, experienced team, who strive to deliver excellent patient care and we spend time with the patients, their families and hope that this encourages better care. We are aware that it's hard work, but this is a perfect opportunity for the right person looking to extend their skills.
