Supporting the Associate Director of Workforce Governance & Quality, you’ll come with fresh and innovative ideas to help you hit the ground running by contributing to the development of our new HR Services model as part of our Group HR Team.  Inevitably, you can expect to support leading the way on the design and establishment of governance, system and processes for the creation, assurance and oversight of our HR work programmes; giving you autonomy to shape how we practice HR across the Trust. 

Working closely and building strong and trusting relationships with all our six Hospital site HR teams, you’ll have a varied portfolio of delivery to include Service Development, Organisational Development, Performance Management, Communications, Governance and Stakeholder Service Delivery;  ultimately shaping the HR Corporate Service brand and our reputation for delivering HR best practice.

An established HR Practitioner and strong People Manager with drive and resilience to push transformational change, you’ll be responsible for our range of services to include our team of Corporate HR Business Partners, Medical Workforce, Employee Reward and Benefits and will also lead on Employment Relations, Policy and Governance. With this in mind, you’ll be CIPD qualified, or a Chartered Member of the CIPD with a proven generalist background in HR and come with wide experience of working alongside unions.

What’s more, you’ll be recognised as a senior member of the HR team with line management, contract management and budgetary responsibilities working closely with the workforce across the Trust to develop, implement and deliver improvements to our services. With exemplary influencing and negotiation skills, you’ll be motivated by establishing and maintaining relationships with people from differing professional backgrounds, both internally and externally.

In addition, you’ll bring your project management skills and an ability to think conceptually and ‘outside the box’ challenging ‘what’ we do and ‘why’. An excellent communicator, you’ll be confident in positively challenging colleagues at a senior level and will use great organisational skills to deliver a varied and challenging HR agenda.  It’s fair to say this opportunity will undoubtedly bring huge job satisfaction and goes without saying will make a real difference to ensuring our people deliver the very best of care for our patients.
