Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is an ambitious organisation serving a population across multiple sites in Manchester. We are a major health care provider of acute and community services for adults and children across multiple hospital sites in both South and Central Manchester.

Working directly in a small team, but in conjunction with Informatics as a whole, the IM&T Business Change and Testing Assistant will gain first-hand experience of the different functions of an Informatics department and the overall management of a large complex, multi-site organisation.

Key emphasis will be on the analysis and interpretation of current workflows and practices. To identify the key business requirements of stakeholders/customers and to analyse and document business requirements, working with colleagues across the organisation.

The post holder will support user acceptance test planning and delivery; effectively developing a User Test Strategy that exercises a wide range of functionality, including common user-errors and FAQ’s.

A Test Analyst will be responsible for developing, executing and documenting testing throughout test delivery lifecycles; working with and supporting the Test Lead.

Additional responsibilities include actively contributing to on-target testing delivery and contributing to system validation status. This role will have a large project focus but also be involved with ongoing enhancement and BAU activities and will have significant contribution to the output expected from a dedicated test capability.

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.
