Specialist Practitioner: Paediatric Major Trauma Team

This is an exciting opportunity for an Paediatric Nurse/Allied Health Professional to apply to work with the Major Trauma Service to develop their knowledge and skills in caring for severely injured children from admission to RMCH through to discharge home.

The post holder will be a key member of the MDT, acting as resource providing education, advice and support to staff and families following a major trauma incident. S/he will develop strong working relationships across all clinical areas. As part of the role they must ensure that each child has a personalised rehabilitation plan which will support the child and their family’s holistic care needs, liaising with MDT’s across RMCH and community services.

The post holder will be expected to ensure all documentation and data is completed in line with Major Trauma Standards.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
