From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.  That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth career opportunities for great people right across our Group.

Would you like to work in an expanding and motivated Radiology team?

Have you ever thought about a career in breast?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for self-motivated, enthusiastic and suitably qualified mammographers/radiographers to join our team at the Nightingale Centre Breast unit, Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.

Part time or full time hours are available, training would be offered and flexible working patterns with breast and main radiology would be considered.

The service delivers both primary breast screening and symptomatic mammography. The breast unit is fully digital with five mammography units, one being a tomosynthesis system. In addition we have four mobile units and 2 static digital mammography units to provide primary screening to Greater Manchester.

We participate in a wide range of research projects and national studies, plus the service is a national training centre for mammographers and so delivers teaching, education and research in the mammography field.
