Clerk to Specialist Midwives

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised and friendly person to join the Specialist Midwifery Team which includes the Safeguarding Midwives, Mental Health Midwives and Young Parents Midwife. The post holder will work closely with the Specialist Midwives, providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support.

The successful candidate will be non-judgemental, have a high regard for confidentiality, and have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

The post holder will possess excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work with minimal supervision, displaying an overall attention to detail, flexibility, and a willingness to learn. Previous relevant secretarial and administrative experience is highly desirable, including computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel) and typing skills. 

Previous NHS experience in a similar role including knowledge of medical records procedures, handling sensitive confidential information, and some medical knowledge relating to Child Protection procedures is desirable but not essential as support and training will be provided.
