From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 6/7 (dependent on experience) Nurse Specialist  to join our Intermediate Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Trafford Hospital. The nurse specialist Practitioner will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team 

You will take a lead for the Neurological Rehabilitation discharge standards and actively participate in the provision of advice and support for nurses and other health professionals in the safe management of adults with a variety of neurological conditions.

You will  coordinating family meetings , you will support the Deprivation of Liberty process within the ward 

You will take an active role in education and management of adults with neurological conditions. There is ample opportunities in involvement with audit projects.

You will take a lead role in further development of neurology services  services for this client group in partnership with patients, parents and all interdisciplinary professionals which includes the development of age appropriate information resources, protocols and patient advise lines.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
