Lead Nurse - Quality and Patient Experience

Secondment – 9 months in the first instance

Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington and Altrincham (WTWA)

Are you highly motivated, dynamic and looking to make a real difference to patient and staff experience? Are you able to inspire and motivate teams? This is a key nursing post, supporting the WTWA Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, Heads of Nursing and newly formed Divisional nursing teams to develop our nursing staff to a new level of excellence.

This offers an excellent opportunity for an existing Lead Nurse or experienced Matron to extend their portfolio of experience.

Delivery of excellence in patient care, service improvement and nursing workforce development are key priorities for this role, maximising the nursing contribution and continuously improving the patient and service user experience. We aim to deliver ‘best in class’ for our patients and strive to become an employer of choice for staff.

The successful candidate will have significant senior nursing experience, display excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and passionate and able to evidence involvement in high impact change and delivery of key nursing outcomes. Professional development and investment in this key leadership role will be seen as a priority, with a bespoke programme designed to meet the needs of the successful candidate.

Applicant requirements

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
