Band 4 Overseas Nurse Programme

Are you an overseas registered nurse from outside of the EU looking for the opportunity and support to become a Registered Nurse in the UK?  At MFT, we are offering a fantastic opportunity to support you with your NMC test of Competence (OSCE) and subsequently registering with the NMC.

What we offer:

Successful applicants will be offered a six month, fixed term Band 4 role onto a medical or surgical ward at either Wythenshawe Hospital or MRI.  We will then provide you with the necessary training to complete the NMC Test of Competence Part 2 (OSCE).  On successful completion of your OSCE, you will be offered a substantive Band 5 position within the Trust.  With over a 96% OSCE pass rate, and having supported over 200 overseas nurses through the process, MFT are one of the most successful Trusts in the country.

What support we will provide:

  • 8 week training programme to prepare for the NMC OSCE examination
  • Financial support to complete the OSCE
  • Guarantee a permanent band 5 post within MFT on completing your registration with NMC

What we need from you:

  • A passion for nursing
  • Previous achievement of English language requirements (IELTS/OET), successful completion of NMC Test of Competence Part 1 (CBT) and in receipt of a valid NMC decision letter.
  • The ability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week
  • An agreement to remain with MFT for a minimum of 2 years following your registration with the NMC.
