Shape a bright future for nursing in a unique new Trust

As England’s largest NHS Trust and the third largest provider of specialist services, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust has a vital mission to provide world-class healthcare. Our Single Hospital Service will make real and lasting improvements to health outcomes and quality of life across the city of Manchester and that’s why we’re seeking an exceptional Nurse leader to join our mission.

Are you highly motivated, dynamic and looking to make a real difference to patient and staff experience?

Are you able to inspire and motivate teams?

This is a key nursing post, supporting the WTWA Director of Nursing, Deputy Director of Nursing, and Divisional Heads of Nursing to continue to develop our WTWA nursing teams to achieve new levels of excellence.

This is an opportunity for an existing experienced senior nurse to extend their portfolio of experience.  The role is key to maintaining strong professional oversight and governance across our hospital sites, specifically Trafford, Withington & Altrincham,  whilst supporting our nursing teams to come together, as we move forward with the integration of all WTWA services in to our three clinical Divisions.

Delivery of excellence in patient care, service improvement and nursing workforce development are key priorities for this role, maximising the nursing contribution and continuously improving the patient and service user experience. We aim to deliver ‘best in class’ for our patients and strive to become an employer of choice for staff.

The successful candidate will have significant senior nursing experience, display excellent communication skills, be highly motivated and passionate and able to evidence involvement and strong professional leadership in high impact change. Professional development and investment in this key leadership role will be supported, with a bespoke programme designed to meet the needs of the successful candidate. The role will be based on the Trafford Hospital Site with the ability to travel and provide visible leadership across all sites within WTWA.
