Come and play a key role in the design and delivery of a brand new OD plan

On 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital. These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester. That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth of career opportunities for great people right across our Group.

Join us, and you could soon be helping our OD Manager to coordinate and deliver agreed organisational development interventions, projects, activities and programmes that will ensure the successful delivery of a Single Hospital Service OD Plan. You’ll also manage a broad range of OD requirements and external demands and need to display a thorough understanding of how each individual requirement impacts upon the plan. Designing and delivering team development, leadership development, L&D and coaching and mentoring programmes will be important too. And, when it comes to seeking opportunities to develop new interventions that positively impact upon the team’s financial position or helping to develop a new organisational culture, again, we'll rely on you.

Already an established OD professional, you’re educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a L&D qualification or certificate. What's more, you’re used to working in a large, complex, multi-professional organisation and environment of change where you designed and delivered training programmes. Indeed, knowledge of the principles of OD and training is a given, as is familiarity with HR policies and procedures. What’s more, you’re flexible in approach, have excellent presentation and project management skills and know how to effectively persuade, negotiate with, and influence others.
