From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. 

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.  That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth career opportunities for great people right across our Group. 

POST - 37.5 hours per week, full time, but a job share may be considered

The Hospital Palliative Care Team is a dynamic and forward thinking multidisciplinary team, which demonstrates the highest level of patient and carer assessment and support – we have presented good practice achievements in local, national and international forums. This is an excellent opportunity for a Qualified Nurse to join the team to develop their competencies and skills in Palliative and End of Life Care. 
 
This represents an excellent opportunity to consolidate previous knowledge and experience relating to Palliative and End of Life Care. You will need to demonstrate at least 2 years post-registration experience plus 2 years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills - experience in Palliative and End Of Life Care or Oncology would be an advantage.
