With a patient-focused approach, you will:

• Lead a team of Dispensing Assistants, and Accuracy Checking Technicians to ensure delivery of a comprehensive, and high quality dispensary service.

  • Support the Chief Technicians for technical services in creating a team of rotational assistants, and technicians that supports stock replenishment, dispensary, and ward based services

To help us do this, we are looking for an enthusiastic and astute individual to join our busy team. Self-motivated and flexible, you will have excellent organisational and communication skills. You’ll have the ability to work effectively both independently and with the existing teams within the pharmacy department.

You will also have:
• BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in pharmacy services skills, or equivalent
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

  • BTEC Professional Diploma in Dispensing Accuracy Checking
  • The ability to lead and develop a team
    The ability to develop good working relationships
    • The ability to work at pace in a busy environment
    • Good I.T/keyboard skills
    • A flexible approach and commitment to accommodate the needs of the service
    • Strong attention to detail

    The post offers in-service development training and the opportunity to gain further qualifications in management and leadership. MFT has provided us with a purpose built, state of the art pharmacy department. Training and development will continue to be one of our main priorities as we continue to lead the way in customer and pharmaceutical care. 

    The post will be 37.5 hours per week covering late nights and weekends.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
