National Aspergillosis Centre, North West Lung Centre

 We are keen to recruit a skilled and motivated senior physiotherapist with proven recent experience in respiratory care. The post is Band 6/Band 7 dependent on experience with progression opportunity to go from band 6 to band 7 subject to meeting competencies.You will have a professional commitment to complex respiratory problems and be able to provide holistic physiotherapeutic interventions to our patients.

Patients with chronic and allergic aspergillosis represent a major therapeutic challenge. All have underlying lung disease. Asthma, mucoid impaction, bronchiectasis, haemoptysis and respiratory failure are all part of the mix of problems seen. You will be responsible for helping to develop the physiotherapy service for the expanding UK’s National Aspergillosis Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with the team’s Band 8a Physiotherapist, consultants and specialist nurses to provide an effective, high quality comprehensive service.
