From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. 

Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester.  That’s why this really is an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth career opportunities for great people right across our Group.

The highly active Research Office is a hub of advice and support for researchers from across the Trust. The office is integral to incorporating research into all aspects of the Trust’s work. Providing important support within this busy office. Due to our extensive Research & Innovation portfolio, and changes happening in existing research process, the role offers diversity rather than routine. As one of the main contacts within the office you will communicate with a wide variety of researchers, both from within the Trust and across the nation, who want to undertake research here. 

Organised, friendly and helpful, you must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to pick up new ideas quickly. A proficient multi-tasker, you combine at least an NVQ Level 4 (desirably a degree) with demonstrable office experience and very good computer literacy, including experience in using Microsoft Excel.  You must also possess good organisational abilities, be able to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
