From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Respiratory Directorate

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Sister/Charge Nurse, to work on our acute female Respiratory ward, Wilson Ward. You will be integral  to improve standards, offer training and improve patient exoerience. You will be expected to work on days as well as nights.

You will offered full education and training needed to train and assist you with your duties. You should have excellent clinical decision making skills, and be able to respond to the demanding nature of complex respiratory health problems as well as patient-flow issues.

You will need to be a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years post registration experience (with evidence of post registered professional development) in order to offer supportive and quality leadership to junior staff.

Essential behaviours are that of communication skills (especially assertiveness and decision-making), some acute- respiratory experience and a thorough knowledge of the admission/discharge process would be desirable. We want motivated compassionate people willing to learn new skills and respond positively to changes within the service needs and for patient experience

You will have the support of the Ward Manager and Matron to help develop you in this role and develop with our expanding directorate.
