The Resuscitation team based at Wythenshawe hospital are recruiting an enthusiastic, registered and appropriately qualified practitioner. We are looking for a Band 6 Resuscitation Officer with the passion and skills to assist the existing team with the delivery of resuscitation training at the Wythenshawe hospital site, Withington Community Hospital and other local venues


Primarily this is a training role teaching resuscitation skills to all grades of multidisciplinary staff on Resuscitation Council Life Support courses including Advanced Life Support (ALS) European Paediatric Life Support, (EPALS) Newborn Life Support (NLS), Immediate Life Support (ILS) Paediatric Immediate Life Support (pILS) and the hospitals’ own internally developed resuscitation courses.

Amongst other duties, you will attend medical emergencies including cardiac arrests providing both support and leadership as required.


We are already a multi-disciplinary team and welcome applicants from professions which meet the person specification.


The successful applicant will support the Lead Resuscitation Officer in all aspects of the Resuscitation Service and will be working in a friendly, dynamic and supportive team committed to your professional development as well as the delivery of excellent patient care.
