Whether you’re a Student Nurse, an experienced Staff Nurse or looking to return to the profession, the Division of Surgery at MRI within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) has just the job for you.

Join us and you’ll have the opportunity to work across our ward areas or on an exciting rotational programme if you prefer.

You may be an experienced Nurse looking for a change of specialty and a rotation may help you decide. Orthopaedic/Trauma, Renal Transplantation, General Surgery/Colo-Rectal are all possibilities - there are endless opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and experience in these specialist areas. Twelve or 18-month rotations are available. You will have a permanent post in an area of your choice on completion.

To succeed, you’ll need to be committed to delivering high quality, patient focused care with pride and respect, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide evidence of personal and professional development.

For newly qualified nurses the Trust has a robust preceptorship programme and you will receive excellent opportunities for development. Along the way, you will be supported by in-house Clinical Educators and strong nurse leaders who will oversee your training needs, supported by the wider divisional education team.
