Manchester University Hospital Foundation Trust (MFT) is the leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England. We provide an extensive range of district general hospital services to the local population of Manchester and tertiary and specialist services to patients from across the North West and beyond.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the position of Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopedics to commence as soon as possible for a one year period.

The trauma service is based at Manchester Royal Infirmary and the elective services are based at The Manchester Orthopaedic Centre based at Trafford General Hospital and boasts a dedicated ring fenced elective orthopaedic facility. This new facility offers joint school, outpatient day and inpatient facilities for patients with six dedicated operating theatres.

The Department includes outpatient clinic facilities which are located on two sites (Trafford General Hospital and Altrincham Hospital). In addition to trauma, a broad spectrum of Orthopaedic work is carried out within the Department such as joint replacements for hips, knees, shoulders, elbows and MCP joints and revision joint replacements. A wide range of arthroscopic surgery is also undertaken.

The post is based at the Manchester Royal Infirmary site, supporting the the trauma and orthopaedic services.
