We inspire excellent standards of patient care.

As a Matron for our Emergency Surgical Trauma Unit (ESTU) you’ll be proud to lead the Nursing team. You’ll be an experienced senior nurse who is committed to delivering the best patient outcomes, monitoring and maintaining professional standards, managing complaints and controlling budgets. We’ll look to you to make informed decisions within each specialist area and scope of practice, involving staff, patients and the public and you’ll also work directly with patients and your wider team to provide the highest quality care so the ability to work autonomously is certainly an important factor with this role.

An exceptional, high profile senior nurse you’ll be an accessible and responsive leader, committed to excellence in all aspects of the Matron role. You will role model the values of pride, respect, empathy, consideration, compassion and dignity – and inspire these values in others.

Your strong leadership and management skills and flair for identifying the training and education needs of staff will be complemented by your experience of successful change management. Of course, you’ll be supported by an effective senior nursing and management team and provided with developmental opportunities to allow you to excel and develop your skills and experience much further.

This truly is an exciting time for Greater Manchester and here at CMFT we’re excited about the changes and future challenges that we will experience from Devolution, Healthier Together and the Single Hospital projects. We are working in partnership with other hospital trusts towards a harmonisation of healthcare services across the city. This creates unparalleled opportunities for all our people. Join us, and have your chance to shine.
