From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

The Manchester Heart Centre is seeking an experienced individual to take on the role of Deputy Directorate Manager.

We welcome applications from individuals with significant management and operational experience at a senior level who are looking to take on greater responsibility and increase their experience within a very busy clinical directorate.

You will provide operational management and leadership to ensure the smooth operational running of the directorate. Working in conjunction with the Clinical Director, Directorate Manager and Matrons, as well as the wider teams within the directorate and the wider hospital, you will ensure the delivery of all performance targets within the Directorate. Working closely with the Operational Manager, you will also ensure the effectiveness of the administration functions within the directorate.

You must be passionate about patient experience and timely access to services and you will want to help drive our performance improvement programmes across the Directorate. You will help create a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and ensure high quality standards of care across all services that we provide.

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
